USPC Level 1 Coach Certification

The USPC Level 1 Coaching Certification is designed to teach the fundamentals of powerlifting coaching from the ground up. Whether you are a lifter looking to begin coaching, a current coach seeking to expand your knowledge, or a fitness professional wanting to better serve strength athletes, this certification provides a comprehensive foundation in powerlifting coaching principles.
The certification will cover:
• The Science of Strength
• Squat Technique, Assessment, and Coaching Cues
• Bench Press Technique, Assessment, and Coaching Cues
• Deadlift Technique, Assessment, and Coaching Cues
• Training Phases, Blocks, and Periodization
• Programming and Progression Schemes
• Recovery, Rest Intervals, and Deload Strategies
• Equipment Selection and Application in Training
• Competition Preparation and Peaking Strategies
• Athlete Assessment and Coaching Considerations
• Coaching Athletes Across Different Experience Levels
• And More
Participants will gain both classroom instruction and practical hands-on experience throughout the certification. An online examination will be required for successful completion, along with satisfactory participation and demonstrated comprehension during the practical coaching sessions.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive official recognition as a USPC Level 1 Certified Coach and become eligible for future advanced USPC coaching certifications.

USPC CERTIFIED COACHES

These individuals have successfully completed the USPC Level 1 Coaching Certification, an immersive educational program designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and practical application necessary to coach the sport of powerlifting. Participants completed comprehensive instruction covering strength science, movement assessment, programming, periodization, competition preparation, and coaching methodology, along with hands-on practical application of the material presented throughout the course.
In addition, each individual has successfully passed the required certification examination and maintains a current USPC membership, earning the official designation of USPC Certified Coach.
