Hosting a Sanctioned USPC Meet
Thanks for your interest in hosting a United States Powerlifting Coalition meet. A Powerlifting meet is a lot of fun and excitement, but also some work.
The USPC would direct the event with a typical schedule of weigh ins on Friday and the event on Saturday. The only day that gym operations would be interrupted would be Saturday (we are able to do weigh ins and set up out of the way of most facilities’ classes and members on Friday).
The USPC will bring all the competition equipment and plywood or rubber tiles to protect the floor. The event director would utilize the gym's bars and racks for warm up. The event director would staff the event but may lean on the host facility to spread the word about staff positions available. In most cases, staff are paid in cash and there will be an online sign up with full details.
The USPC has several options for compensation for the host facility that we can discuss.
