□USPC Record Requirements
State and National records may be set at any USPC sanctioned meet.
- ✔️Any new record must exceed the previous record by at least 1kg.
- ✔️Judging Requirements:
- □State Records: Three USPC State-level (or higher) Judges.
- □National Records: At least two National or International Judges.
- □World Records: Three International Judges, OR two International + one National Judge.
- ✔️Lifters may only set records in the division(s) they are entered in before the end of the final weigh-in session.
- ✔️The lifter must declare their record attempt before coming to the platform.
⚖️Ties & Bodyweight
If two lifters in the same flight set the same record at the same weight:
- □️The lifter with the lower bodyweight becomes the official record holder.
- □️If bodyweights match exactly, the lifter who lifts first is awarded the record.
□Fourth Attempt Rules
- ➡️Lifter must have successfully completed their third attempt.
- ➡️Lifter must be within 20kg of the current record.
- ➡️The fourth attempt must exceed the current record by at least 1kg.
- ➡️Attempt must be declared within 60 seconds after completing the third attempt.
- ➡️Fourth attempts do not count toward the lifter’s total (record purposes only).
- ⚠️The Meet Director may choose not to offer fourth attempts if announced before lifting begins.
